The Founders of CHANGE, Inc. are three women who have spent time volunteering at Child Haven. It occurred to them that they could expand the services that are provided by federal, state and local government funds to the children at Child Haven and in foster care.  All three of them are mothers and had raised their own children with care, love, protection and guidance. They understand how important the health of children really is for their futures.

With their collective knowledge they have formed a 501c (3) non profit organization to assist the children at Child Haven in May 2007. CHANGE, Inc. is not a contractual agency of either the Department of Family Services or Clark County. It is a stand alone non profit organization. The Board consists of 6 more dedicated women who care about children.

Between the three founders, they have accomplished 100 years of volunteer work. Their skills are varied but include administration of million dollar budgets, hospital board memberships, accounting experience, and volunteerism in a variety of non-profits. With the exceptional abilities in managerial and executive level exposure they have created an organized and enthusiastic team dedicated to helping the children at Child Haven and in foster care.

Having said that… there is an African proverb that says - “it takes a village to raise a child”. We all know that this saying is true. CHANGE, Inc. hopes to reach out to all community organizations, businesses and residents of the Las Vegas Valley. Each contribution will enhance the lives of the children at Child Haven. Being in the protective custody of the Family Courts, these children need many things. They often come to Child Haven with only the clothing on their backs. They may have been abused, abandoned or just forgotten. Their young lives are filled with fear, violence and terror. We hope that with the help of the generosity of our community in Las Vegas, we can change that. With your support we can make a difference in a child’s life.

CHANGE, Inc. is operated by a volunteer Board of nine vastly different women. Each one brings a unique talent to the organization. Our goal is to try to give these children an opportunity to change their environment and their futures, by giving them hope.
